Manga Inchi is also know as Karpoor Turmeric or Amba Turmeric.It is a powerful Ayurvedic spice used in Ayurvedic spice used in Ayurveda for various health issues.The powerful health benefits of manga Inchi make it an important herb in the Ayurveda.Curcuma amada , or mango ginger is a plant of the ginger family Zingiberaceae and is closely related to turmeric.The rhizomes are very similar to common ginger but have a raw mango taste.It got the generic name mango ginger or mango turmeric because it produces mango like  smell  when  the fresh rhizome cut.It is used in making pickles and chutneys in India.It is called mavina shunti in Kannada language.It is also known as temu pauh in malaysia,Khamin khao in Thailand and temu mangga in Indonesia.
According to Ayurveda,Manga Inchi pacifies all three doshas in the body,especially pitta dosha.The main chemical compounds present in Mango ginger are curcumin,terpenoids,phytosterol ,phenolic acids,calcimine and mycena.It also has antibacterial,anti-inflammatory,diuretic,antifungal,cytotoxic,analgesic ,anthelmintic and antipyretic properties.Manga Inchi is used for skin problems.It helps detoxify the body and removes all harmful toxins from the body,so it is great for treating skin problems like acne and itching.Manga Inchi is used for breathing problems.It can get rid of  cold and cough.The expectorant and analgesic properties of mango Ginger is often used to relieve brochitis and Asthma.
HOW TO MAKE MANGA INCHI CHAMMANTHI(CHUTNEY)

INGREDIENTS
*Mango ginger - 1 Big piece
*Scraped coconut - 1 cup
*Shallots - 6 small nos
*Curry leaves - 1 small sprig
*Red chili powder -1 Teaspoon
*Salt - to taste
1,Grind all ingredients together without adding water.
2,Serve with rice or gruel.
